Race Rules
Registration and fundraising
1. Registrations close 2 weeks prior to race.
2. Registration will be considered as assurance of payment of entry fee of $5000 per team.
3. All funds raised should be handed over to the Frank Hilton Org on or before the 27th of July to qualify for the
race.
The Wheelbarrow
1. Standard wheelbarrow available in Fiji.
2. Cannot be motorized.
3. Can be modified.
4. Only one wheel on the ground at all times during race.
5. Wheelbarrow cannot be carried during the race.
6. No limit on number of team members pushing the wheelbarrow at one time.
7. Wheelbarrow can be dressed up and branded.
8. One passenger must always be in the wheelbarrow when in motion and must wear appropriate safety gear.
The Team & Participants
1. Open to any group of well-wishers above the age of 18yrs, who can raise $5000 or more.
2. Only 8 members in total per team, including wheelbarrow passenger.
3. As many supporters as required. (First aid crew/ water boys/ cheerleaders etc.)
4. Must participate in a pre-organized dry run on a Saturday morning, at least once.
The Race
1. The race involves a relay event around Albert Park, with 4 designated team member change points (at each
corner)
2. There will be 2 heats events, and 1 final race.
3. The heats events are 3 rounds around the park. The top 3 (best finishing times) teams from each Heat event
qualify to race in the Final race.
4. The Final race will be one round around the park.
5. Team with fastest time at finals wins race
Awards
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
1. Winning team 1st Place, 2nd place and 3rd place.
2. Best dressed team – (Team with most creative and well-coordinated outfits in accordance with a common
theme)
3. Team that raises the most funds for the Organization
4. Best decorated Wheelbarrow
5. Seniors Award (best finish time for team comprising of all members over the age of 40 yrs)
6. Oldest participant
7. Team comprising of most number of Senior Management participants
