Jade Mau says coming to AUT on a New Zealand Pacific Scholarship Bachelor of International
has opened up many opportunities for her, and knows the things she has Tourism Management student
learned will have an impact on Samoa’s tourism industry.
“This experience has given me the opportunity to learn more about the
tourism industry and I can’t wait to bring all that knowledge home to Samoa.
“Tourism is a huge industry over there and our economy depends on it. I’m lucky
to understand the industry and help contribute to it.”
Choosing AUT was easy for Jade as the support students receive is impressive.
“AUT staff always put the students first. It was hard when I first came because English
is my second language, but I attended workshops and was given a tutor to help with
my writing.”
